For many years, the Langlois Public Library was housed in a small, dark room next to the Langlois Fire Department. Patrons
loved this little library , but it was rapidly becoming obvious that the cramped quarters could no longer meet the needs of the community. With this in mind, former Library Director Tobe Porter and her hardworking, committed group of volunteers set about raising funds for the construction of a new home. About eight years later their dream came true; the new Langlois Library opened its doors on March 15, 2002. Today, we serve over 300 active library patrons, have almost 15,000 titles in our coliection, and offer a wide variety of programs and services to the greater Langlois community.
